Hi All

I have a problem with deliver command in dmcli. I have a local workspace that was modified and now I have to deliver changes into dimensions repository.

Dimensions>

Dimensions>DELIVER /WORKSET="HICD:HIC_HICBUS" /USER_DIRECTORY="/home/dmsys/workspaces/prova1" /ADD /DELETE /UPDATE /CHANGE_DOC_IDS="HICD_CR_1"

Using Project 'HICD:HIC_HICBUS'.

Using '/home/dmsys/workspaces/prova1/' as the Project work area.

Using default upload rules for product 'HICD'.

Scanning local work area: less than 1 microsecond

Warning: File '/home/dmsys/workspaces/prova1/hooks/prova2_file.txt' was locally deleted. Target will not be updated.

Updating files: 0.01 sec

Uploading Project: 0.37 sec

Operation completed

Dimensions>

Addition and updates are gone, but deletions has been skipped. How can I do to deliver also deletions?

Thanks,

Pietro

    I have 2 suggestions:

    1) Insure that the delete from workspace is accomplished with a Dimensions-aware tool, such as Win Explorer with the Dimensions plugin, or an IDE with Dimensions integration or plugin, etc. This will insure the meta-data is updated properly.

    2) Consider adding /REMOVAL=REVISION or /REMOVAL=STREAM depending on whether you are attempting to delete all revisions of the item from the stream, or only the revision that was removed from the workspace. It may be that the /REMOVAL is required to help the /DELETE qualifier know what to do.

    Hi,

It seems that you are using DELIVER for Project, which is applicable for Streams only.

UPLOAD is used for Projects instead, but it's not supporting deletions, as it's not clear if it's complete delete from repository or just removal from the project. You may use RIWS or DI in Projects (depending on the type of deletion you want to achieve).

    Hi,

You may try "LWSD /recu /files/items", however if that would be part of some script automation - it may be more useful to consider one of API's (Java or C).
