Hi,

I'm using SBM 11.4.1 and My Kanban (system) keep giving me error whenever i click it. It is weird as this does not happen with other kanban that i created.

The visible error i get is from
1. server.log:
ERROR [ajp-nio-6009-exec-2] [com.serena.common.util.RESTServiceHelper:176] [::] -- REST GET to https://myserver:443/workcenter/tmtrack.dll?shell=swc&JSONPage&command=createdefaultkanbanmapping&solutionId=8 failed: org.springframework.web.client.RestClientException: Could not extract response: no suitable HttpMessageConverter found for response type [class com.serena.workcenter.service.MenuItemServiceImpl$KanbanResponse] and content type [text/html]

2. workcenter.log:
ERROR [MenuItemServiceImpl] -- Error during fetching Kanban default mapping from AE
java.lang.NullPointerException

I have covered all the basic such as clearing cache, clicking another process app then click back to it again but it does not work. Although support gave a db script to delete some records of the MyKanban records (with disabling timeout) but it does not work, support also advice patching with hotfix 5 and it does not work either. I wonder if anyone out here can shed some light on this issue? It is really getting no where and it is more frustrating when support just ask you to upgrade to newer version instead.

Try checking the SBM KB, or creating a ticket with SBM Technical Support.

I had this same issue. it has to do with the security type set in configurator when the kanban is invoked. (for upgraded kanbans). There was a database script I had to do, change security type, run the kanbans, then change security back.

You will need to contact technical support to get the script to run. it will be different for everyone.

The script I used was specific to my environment. I cannot share that. you will need to contact technical support to get the script and complete instructions for fixing this.

I see. But can you share exactly what security type set you mean in configurator that affect My Kanban at your side? At least I can evaluate if our issue here is what similar to yours and we can ask support for reference answer.

What support provided me so far, is just db script to remove my default kanban from the database, which does not solve the issue.

Here are the steps I followed:

    Ran the SQL Script
Opened configurator and changed the user session timeout to does not timeout restarted services
Opened workcenter and ran myKanban in all of my workflows. (they worked)
Re- applied setting for user session timeout to 50 minutes restarted services
    Opened workcenter and ran myKanban
    Prod is working as expected.

yes the script should remove my kanban. it needs to be built from the UI when the user session does not timeout.

Thanks for the reply. I think what i did is the same as yours, apart from executing db script which are related to our own environment. One thing i do aware is after the fix, if we run deployment again (with changes), the error will come back, then i will have to repeat the whole process again.

I have not seen that, but I have upgraded to 11.5 since then.
