We expand or collapse an expander / section based on whether the section contains required fields.  The product already identifies a section as having required fields, but there is currently no JSAPI ...function to tell me in script if it contains required fields.  Instead, I need scrape the DOM for the information which works for now, but may change with future releases of SBM. In the User Workspace view, you can be viewing an item or a report, and from that still utilize the basic ID search within a workflow. That's no longer true in the Work Center view, since items, repor...ts, etc. are popped up in a new window DIV.  It would be nice to elimiate the two clicks that every user has to go through when they're given a list of items they have to search through (e.g it's not easilty listed in a report). If the search bar was avalible within a popup, or even was avalible within the global navigation bar, that would make nagivating around the Work Center much smoother. More

Instead of writing report queries over and over each time you write a similar report, why not encapsulate them as business rules?  As a report creator, I would like to be able to: Reuse existing qu...eries or query fragments Use previously defined business rules as part of my report queries For example, the "Priority 2 Evaluation" business rule from the SSM Change Management process app could be part of a query:    Where Submit date > 1 day ago and Priority 2 Evaluation = true   More

Workcenter present a column/grid interface.  Currently, the columns and their labels are fixed.  We would like them to be editable. Column label changes should be permitted (so Priority could be mad...e Rank, etc) Columns should be able to be sortable so that what appears in the third position could be moved to the first position, etc.  Perhaps drag n droppable. Selections regarding which columns appear should be permitted.  Right now, the displayed columns are fixed; it's not possible to replace one for another. More

Kanban is a popular method for identifying the status and priority of work items.  Typically, a visual "wall" displays the items in columns depending on whether they are "to be done", "in progress" or... "completed".  As an item changes status, it moves between the columns, enabling a viewer to quickly see not only the status of an individual item, but the overall progress of a project.  This idea would be to create a Kanban friendly interface within SBM that enables users to represent tasks as cards on a wall within columns to indicate priority and status. At a basic level, a Kanban wall looks something like this: This idea woudl be to emulate such a card wall within SBM as a view.  The view would be populated by the items in a project and the placement of the items on the wall would be goverened by their status (i.e. which column to be in) or their priority (i.e. how high up the column the item is shown).  The items can either be updated by clicking on them to "drill down" into a typical update form or by just moving/sliding them between columns which will transition the status of the item - e.g. from "To Be Done" to "Doing".  If additional information is required to move an item (e.g. the item must be assigned to be moved to "Doing"), such information will either be requested or filled in through automated rules (e.g. the person sliding from "To Be Done" to "Doing" would automatically become the owner).  Colors can also be used to supplement the interpretation of status (e.g. an item in critical status may have a red outline around it).     More

I need the ability to grab the change history of an item programmatically.  We have a lot of integrations today that interact with SBM via the SOAP web services and it would be preferable if there was... a way to get the change history the same way.  There is a GetStateChangeHistory call, but that only returns state changes, not ALL changes.  Why anyone would only care about the times an item changed to a different state and not just every change that happened to an item is beyond me.  Moreover, it errors when querying auxiliary tables, probably because they don't have states, and I need to be able to get the change history of aux table items. I just ran into an issue where I wanted to schedule a deployment for the following day, and I had the time of day correct but the actual date wrong, which ended up causing the deployment time to be be...fore the current time.  This caused the deployment to start immediately rather than being scheduled. While this makes sense from a time perspective, it's not what I wanted to have happen. It is 100% my fault, but it would be nice if I was warned when scheduling a deployment and the deployment time pre-dated the current time.  Then I could see that I was telling the system to do something that was most likely wrong, and I could fix it before unintentionally having my process app deployed immediately.  Or if I was a bonehead, and I was intentionally scheduling a deployment for the past, I could confirm that I was doing something stupid before continuing. Allow the Actions dropdown associated with each application to be more customizeable. Currently, an admin's choices for the Admin dropdown is limited to checking off some pre-determined list of action...s, like adding a note or viewing the workflow diagram. It would be helpful to allow for some customization here, since the Actions dropdown is a powerful location to have things like links to external references. More
