Ability to compare two or more request about the items shared? In other words, can we know the items that are shared between request. for example, if the resquest R1 have items I1,I2,I3 related; and r...equest R2 have I1,I3,I4. Is there a way in where we can know that I1 and I3 are items related in both request (R1,R2)? More

Make the add item GUI look like the Serena Support attachment file upload GUI instead of the blocky, hard-to-navigate interface currently used. When you go to add an item in the Dimensions CM web clie...nt and press the ... (ellipsis) button to browse for a file, you see a clunky, dated window appear for you to browse to the desired file on your machine. There is no address bar at the top... no Desktop shortcut button. So if a file is on my Desktop, I have to select the C: partition from the drop-down menu, then navigate to the c:usersJoshuadesktop directory. That is what you call the "user aggravation" factor. All those steps to upload a file. For anyone who has used the Serena Support site and uploaded an attachment to a case, that's what the browse page should look like.... not what Dimensions CM 14.1.0.4 is using right now. Serena would help make my task of acquiring new CM customers easier if my product demos didn't show the clunky browse interface that is in place right now. In modern web development practices, a JSF framework could add a modern browse window interface (GUI) with a mere 4 lines of code in the web page. I've done it in my development work. not too hard to do. Maybe the limitation has to do with what the Java applet-driven interface looks like. I did applet development a few years ago but don't remember what the options are. More

Dimensions CM includes a number of "published views" that provide a consistent route to accessing the metadata held in the Dimensions CM database. In the Dimensions Desktop Client it is possible to s...how "Latest Revision" which indicates whether the revision of the item being viewed is the latest in the project. When reporting, it is useful to be able to understand which revision is latest but this does not appear to be available via the published views (is available via WS_FILES.LATEST). Could the published views be extended to include Latest Revision? Apologies in advance if it is available but I missed it. More

For self-written queries it would be a big enhancement to have also clustered indizes on the cm tables, because the work with non-clustered indizes is very slow within big data.

Please allow us to be able to make a different custom view for each of the different Request types. In the desktop client for Dimensions CM we are able to customize a view for a Request. However it is... limited to but "one view fits all" for all Request types. At my workplace most users work with more than one Request type. This is frustrating to the many users as each Request type has its own attributes that are associated with it. There is very little overlap beyond having an ID and title. We feel that it would be far more effective to allow for each Request type to be able to have its own custom view. It wastes our time to have to jump back into the custom view window to make changes each and every time that we want to work with a different Request. It would be far better to set up the custom view but once per Request type. More

We would like to customize the default views in Dimensions Window client and publish new view settings for the users. We would like to customize the default views and publish new view settings for our... users. Note: We will have to consider that many users may have already modified their views, and we wouldn't want to overwrite those as default. But there should always be a way to force the update from the admin console. Therefore, if it is possible to create and publish new views for existing users. This should be done as default only for users that have not modified the default views, and/or for users that specifically request to get the new view settings. More
