Hi David I know about the challenge. And I'm aware that grouping by a numeric field would not make sense. But nevertheless it would be very helpful to separate the sorting from the grouping. Currently... you can always sort by some system fields, even though they are not used as filter. And you can sort by some of your Filters. Activity Views are much better than listing reports, because you can filter ad hoc and you can view items from different applications in the same view. That's why I open this Enhancement Request, because it would be an enhancement to be able to sort by other fields than the ones defined for grouping. Especially the field type numeric is predestined to be used as sort value. A drop down would not bring the same efficiency, because I would need to define all the possible values in an AUX Table (I might not know them in advance), create a new relational field in all my apps, even though I already have the sort-order field and the users would need to select them instead of simply writing a number into a field. I would appriciate if this enhancement would get a chance. Thank you Regards André More

We would appreciate the extension of the options to sort Activity Views. Currently the items can be sorted by any field definable as filter. But some field types like numeric or text can not be used ...as filter and therefor are not available as sort option. We would like to be able to sort our items by any user definable field. We want to give the items a kind of sort-number and then have the Activities sorted by this number. This would be really helpful. I know that numeric fields make no sense as filter so maybe the filter and sort function have to be separated from each other.   More

Currently, when adding a field of type URL it's value can not be used as target of the Web page widget. It can be defined in the setup of the form, but the widget remains empty. This might be, because... URL fields are no database fields but stored in TS_FILE_OBJS but using these fields seems most obvious to me. Thank you André More

There is a new "feature" which causes SBM to copy all field values to the new item during a post transition into the same primary table. Unfortunately this is activated by default. This happens even i...f there are only one or two fields mapped. If you remove all mappings from post transition and set just 2 new mappings, it should just copy these two fields to the new item. Unfortunately since SBM 11.4 it does not, although it's described like this in the manual. All fields are copied! Instead of fixing this bug, there's now (11.5) a new Setting in TS_SYSTEMSETTINGS which is named "SetFldsForPostCopyTransOrig" Here you have to set the TS_LONGVALUE to 0 to get the desired result, as it is described in the manual. If you don't switch this setting, SBM will always copy all fields with the same name. But this setting can only be changed in the database table directly. There's no option to change it in a GUI, like System Administrator or SBM Configurator.I think, any important setting like this should be reachable in some kind of GUI! So please provide a way to switch this. However it would be much more userfriendly to decide what to copy on a transition base. Maybe just a little checkbox inside the post-option menu named "copy all fields" if it's activated, the new feature is active an all fields are copied. No grid for the fields to be mapped should be displayed. If the the checkbox is unselected, only the mapped fields should be copied to new items. This would be the way it worked before 11.4.Actually all of this is unnecessary if it would just do what it should: "Copy the mapped fields" and "Do not copy what is not mapped". Thank you More

Hi David Do you mean "Advanced SQL Conditions" as filter or SBM Advanced XML Report? Both will not really help me, because I was told by your support, that there's no option to use parameter (current ...user) in Advanced SQL Report Filters and as described, I would like to have even more: something like "Current User belongs to UserGroup XY" or "Current User belongs to 'MultiUserField'" (here I would predefine the wanted Usergroup. So as this option is not existing as filter in Advanced SQL nor in Advanced XML Reporting, there's no need to try this. My intention is to create reports that are as generic as possible, without the need to 'hardcode' the filters. This is what we do now and every time the responsibilities change, we have to change the reports. Thank you for your help. André More

No, I did not try this, because it's really too much effort for just renaming columns. I would need this for more than one report, which means I'd have to create al lot of XML files for all the views ...which are at the end quite similar to my primary tables. Besides I want to be flexible and be able to add or remove columns whenever I want, without recreating the XML and view and restarting IIS. So actually, this is not really an useful workaround. More

Currently in reports you can filter like User-Field XY = (current user) We would like to have the option to create reports for teams of users, who are already organized in Usergroups. One of them is ...set in the item as responsible user, but the other team members should be enabled to see all his/her items without defining complicated filters. Especially because the responsible person might change, but the team remains the same. So a filter of: current user is member of item.MultiUserfield or item.SingleUserField is member of SelectedUserGroup would be great. Or even both. Thank you. More

It would be nice to have the option to set column header different from the fieldname. Especially for reports with related items, when displaying any value from the related item the related field nam...e is always added to the actual fieldname. This results in very long column headers with more than one line breaks. e.g. we are using reports on stateforms to provide some information of related fields. The reports are inside a groupbox, which is labeled with the item. Like "Related Dynamic Problem". In the Report itself the columns are labeled like "ItemID (Related Dynamic Problem)", "State (Related Dynamic Problem)" etc. Currently we are forced to remove the suffix (Related Dynamic Problem) with Javascipt, but actually we just want to give our own labels to the columns.
